About Alison.

Alison is always on the hunt for a good story. But even more, she wants to live a good story.

You can often find her in the children’s section of a bookstore or wandering the library. She loves family picnics, reading in the sunshine, taking mediocre photos on her phone, enjoying coffee with a friend and baking gluten free cookies.

Alison loves seeing others grow in grace and courage. She’s walked alongside people in their growth through her work as a nurse and in years in Residence Life on university campuses. Her top five strengths are Developer, Communication, Arranger, Includer and Activator. She’s a 9 (the Peacemaker) on the Enneagram & an ISFJ with Myers-Briggs.

While she’s called Washington, Oregon, California and Pennsylvania her home from time to time, her heart is learning to call people, not places her home. She currently resides in Pennsylvania, where she spends her days with her two littles and writing during nap time. She’s grateful to count her husband, daughter & son as some of her favorite people.

“her heart is learning to call people, not places her home.” – I have just in the past few years really truly understood and embraced this. My motto now is “home is wherever we’re together.” 😀
